EXIM Realigns to Support Channel Operations Partners
July 23, 2020 Office of Small Business
Tagged: Chanel Ops

On July 14, 2020, James Burrows, EXIM Senior Vice President, announced the launch of the Office of Small Businesses Channel Operations Program. This new program changes EXIM’s business development model for originating, identifying, and onboarding exporters of U.S.-made goods who would benefit from short-term Export Credit Insurance and Working Capital Loan Guarantee products.

The change realigns EXIM’s regional officers to create dedicated teams that work with EXIM Registered Insurance Brokers and Delegated Authority Lenders. The goal of the program is to increase the utilization of trade finance solutions while also making it easier for small businesses to access financing. Working closely together, EXIM and our partners will expand outreach to small businesses, helping more companies grow through exporting and supporting thousands of American jobs.

Development of the program was driven by teams of EXIM employees, working collaboratively with insurance brokers, commercial lenders and channel operations experts. EXIM account managers will offer a variety of resources and services to aid the partners in reaching and educating small business exporters nationwide.
